Zip wire cable construction:As you can see from the picture above, each length of wire that is used in our zip wires are spun using galvanised steel to a construction of 10 x 7 x 19. This means that the wire has a diameter of 10mm and is constructed by spinning 7 strands of wire - each strand itself being made from 19 strands - together to form the actual cable. This is what gives the zip wire cable its flexibility, durability and great strength.
When unwinding this wire off the drum please make sure that you DO NOT kink the wire in any way. This wire is very heavy and will require two people to assemble in place.
How much wire do I need?:When measuring for the length of wire that you require for your zip wire, please follow these simple instructions to help you:
If measuring for use between Support to Support:1) Please measure from the centre of the crossbar at one end to the centre of the crossbar at the other end.
2) Then add on 5 metres to find the amount you need to order.
3) Do not worry if this too much as you will be able to cut the wire.
If measuring for use between Tree to Support:1) Please measure the circumference of the tree to be used.
2) Then measure from the centre of the tree to the centre of the crossbar of your support.
3) Add together both measurements and then add on 5 metres to find the amount you need to order.
4) Do not worry if this too much as you will be able to cut the wire.

It is highly recommended that you carry out a safety inspection on completion of the installation of the zip wire equipment and that the equipment should be continually inspected on a regular basis.
